      All my Hardanger charts are for those who are familiar with the technique.

      If you are unsure about some of the stitches, I recommend you treat yourself to         'The cross stitchers Bible'  by Jane Greenhoff. There you  will find a clear description of all the necessary stitches used.

     Hardanger is traditionaly white on white. White linen, with white linen threads. But nothing stops you from experimenting with the colourful pallet of pearl cotton available.

    Here is an example of an hardanger pillow done on red even weave with black cotton. Under is a white pillow, with feather stuffing. Quite an interesting combination.
