The patterns

1. What threads do you use for your patterns ?

   All my patterns are coded for DMC, but some also have the Victoria Clayton silks equivalents.

   If you prefer to use Anchor, Venus, or other threads there are a lot of free conversion tables available online.

   If you can't find the one you need, just send me a note and I will try to help you find the right thread equivalent.

2. Are the patterns in color ? Black and white ?

   The patterns are in color, and in black and white symbols.

    Full instruction, and added information depending on the pattern.

    I have changed software at the beginning of 2010, so the newer charts are even better than the previous ones.

    

   

    

    

3. I found a mistake !

   Mistakes will happen, if you find one please let me know and I will change it on the pattern and send you a new corrected PDF file.

4. Can I change the recommended colors ?

   You can of course change and adapt the colors I list to fit your personal taste, and interior design.

   If you find that some of the colors don't seem right together, or are too similar let me know. I always appreciate feedback and opinions from fellow stitchers, especially since I cannot stitch every single pattern I have for sale.

   And remember to senf me a pic. I love to see photos of finished pieces.

5. I can't open the PDF files

   If your computer cannot open the PDF files you can download Adobe reader for free here : http://get.adobe.com/no/reader/

    

Payment

1. Can I pay via bank transfer ?

   Yes ! I can take bank transfers, just send me an email and I will send you the needed information.

2. Do you accept cash ?

   It is not safe or legal to send cash in the mail. So it is at your own risk.

   I can accept cash of course, but only in American Dollars, EUROs, and Norwegian kronners.

Shipping

1. Can you send paper copies ?

   Paper is heavy and ink is expensive,  so I will only send paper copies on a ' Special case ' basis, and the buyer has to agree to cover shipping.

   The best option is for me to send you a CD and then you print out the patterns where you live.

   Most town libraries have printers availables, so do post offices, internet cafe, etc.....

2. Can you send the patterns on a CD / DVD ?

   Yes ! I can send as many charts as you want on a CD or DVD and charge only 6 $ for shipping.

    

3. When will I get my chart via Email ?

   I check my E post at least twice a day, and will usually send the charts right away.

    

   I live in Norway, so consider the difference in time zones.

1. Can I phone Roland-designs

   Yes ! You are always welcome to call. Send me an email, and I will send you my phone number and the best time to call.

   I work part time and have young children, so I am not available all the time, but I will make time for you.

   Just be kind regarding time zones, calls in the middle of the night are not practical.

2. When will you answer my Email ?

   I check my E-post at least twice a day, and will usually answer right away.

   Or, let you know that I got your mail and when you can expect to get the reply.

Copyright

1. Can I sell an item I made from one of your patterns ?

   Yes !

   You are welcome to sell the finished embroidery, or crochet items. And I would be very pleased it you let the buyer know that the pattern came from Roland-designs and placed a link to my site.

   Please do not sell the PDF file, or share them via email, blogs, CD's etc...

    

    

2. What is the Public Domain ?

   The Public Domain is items that are copyright free, or whose copyright has expired.

   Most books, etc.... that were published prior to 1925 are in the Public Domain, but different laws apply to different countries so double check the laws of the country you live in before using something from the public domain.

3. Roland-designs charts are in the Public Domain ?

   The antique patterns I work from are all in the public domain, and I only work from items I actually own.

    But the re-charting I do is my own property.

    All the patterns I offer on the site represent hours of work to chart, and make into a digital file, choosing the thread colors, photos, etc... so please respect my work and do not sell, share or reproduce my PDF files, and patterns.

    

Crochet items

1. Can you make some crochet lace ?

   I can take cutom order for both the jewelry and crochet lace.

   Send me an email and let me know what you had in mind, and we can agree on the price.

   The transaction will then be made in my ETSY shop. This way you are able to leave feedback.

2. Do you take custom orders for filet crochet ?

   I can do some small project for you, but I will not be  able to make table cloths, or bed spreads as it is very time consuming.

   But I would be happy to assist you , and answer any question if you would like to undertake  such a project yourself.

Other questions

1. Do you buy patterns, samplers, needlework ?

   Yes !  I am always happy to add to  my collection.

   Do you have an original hand painted charts in your collection you would like to sell ? Or a sampler, or lithographe ?

   Send me an Email with a photo of the piece and I will let you know if I am interested in it, and the price I am willing to pay for it.

    

    

2. Can you design a sampler for me ?

   Yes !

   Send me an email with an  idea of what you have in mind, maybe a drawing too. 

   I will get back to you and let you know how long it will take me to chart it, and we can agree on the price.
